FIRE AT GORE.
[United Pkess Association.] Gore, March 24. A fire occurred this, evening in _a drapery store, the property of Mr Simon "McDonald, but it was subdued before much damage was done to the building. The stock was destroyed, chiefly by water. The stock of Mr. Samuel McDonald, of Invercargill, bootmaker, who occupied a portion ot the building, was damaged to some extent. The insurances were : Simon McDonald, on building _ and fittings, £550, his. loss being £1200 over that amount ; Samuel McDonald, £1500 on stock in several offices which are unavailable.
