MAGNETIC POLE REAGHED.

HOISTING OF THE UNION JACK. PROFESSOR DAVID'S REPORT. (Received March 25, 0.10 a.m.) London, March 24. Lieutenant Shackleton states that Piofessor David reports that the northern party, consisting of Mr Marson, Mr Mackay and himself, started on the oth .October. It was a difficult route, and they experienced many haidships. They reached on the 16th January the magnetic pole, at latitude 72 degrees 25 mins, longtitude 154, and hoisted the Union Jack.
