A smart arrest was effected by Detectives Hollis and Scott- at Freeman's Bay shortly before midnight, resulting in the recovery of a large quantity of stolen jewellery, and the discovery of a large collection of housebreaking implements. The subject of the arrest was a young man. named Franljc Maher.
