Christchurch, March 12. At the annual meeting of the Beautifying Association to-night, " Mr S. Hurst Seager wrote suggesting, that the Government should Joe asked to forego the paltry sums which they.now receive from the advertisements on the railway stations with a view to' converting. the stations,, especially the country ones, into beauty spots, and affording- the railway employees every inducement to plant native /flowers and shrubs, common to their respective districts, in and around the* station grounds.
