The Conference 'passed a series of resolutions in regard to the no license question as follows: That the Conference rejoiced in the continued growth of the no license as indicated by the substantial increase in the vote at thereCellt poll, and congratulated the' electorates in which no license had- previously obtained upon *bhe fact that not one of ; them had voted for restoration; the Conference recorded its opinion that sixty per cent of the valid votes cast is too high a proportion, and expressed the hope that in the near, future the Jaw may be amended so that no license may be secured at least by a less proportion than is at present required. An invitation from Tritiny Church at Dunedin to hold the 1910 Confer-ence-there, was accepted by the Conference. The date for the opening was fixed for February 24th. - . The Conference adopted, the third draft of the ministers' stations to-day. The following are the particulars concerning the Nelson district : Nelson.— - Rev J. J. Lewis ? supernumerary. Rev J. Crump. Richmond: Rev ;S, H. D. Peryinan, and a home missionary. Blenheim: Revs T. ;R. Richards; and E P. Blamires, and a home ■-missionary. .Hokitika: RevTl.
