RICCARTON LICENSING COMMITTEE.

(Special to "The Colonist.") Christchurch, March 8. A very keen interest iB centred in the Riccarto'n Licensing Committee election. In that electorate are situated the Canterbury Jockey Club's racecourse, and the show ground of the Canterbury A. and P. Association. The no license candidates, if successful,' will refuse all; conditional licenses. A large number of. the electors deem that this would be very tyrannical as regards thoso attending the races and shows, some 34,000 people.
