Trafalgar was leading at the Abattoirs when Golden Gate made a fast run past the field and led into the straight, where Even Time came out and won by a long neck j time, 3.8 J. Newmarket Handicap : Soult Line 1, Dunolly 2, Irishman 3. All started. Soult Line took the lead at the half distance, Dunolly challenging outside and Irishman trying to hold his ' own. Amid- intense excitement Soult Line, straining every nerve, beat Dunolly oy half a neck, Irishman a neck awa j third. Sires' Produce Stakes: Matla 1, Barm 2, Apple Pie 3. Won by six leiigths ; time 1 16. Essendon Stakes : Peridil 1, Signor i Neitli 3. ' Won by two lengths. Brunswick Stakes : Seddon 1, Yabba 2, Jack Smith 3. Won by three lengths ; time 2 59.
