An attempt to raid the House of Commons, in order to present to Mr Asquith petitions, led to the arrest of 27 suffragettes, including Lady Constance Lytton, Miss Dugdale, and Miss Solomon, a daughter of a former Cape Premier. The latter made an ineffectual attempt to» rush Brook's Club, where Mr Asquith was dining.
