RAILWAY FATALITY.
- Auckland, Feb 9. While railway .trucks were being shunted at Otahuhu Station at two o'clock this morning, Guard W. Bailie was riding on the cowcatcher, when he. either slipped or lost his hold> and fell. 'The engine. and trucks passed over his body and his back and neck were broken one arm was cvt v off and the body was terribly battered. Death was probably instantaneous.
