LETTER FROM THE PRIMATE.
FURTHER CONSIDERATION URGED. [Pbess Association— Copyright.] London, Dec. 7. -- The Primate, in a letter to Mr Runciman, President of tneJßoard of Education, reiterates that the in;"consistencies reported in the Eduoation Bill regarding the contracted out schools are .the exception and not the rul9, and tbe financial estimates of the cost under the abandoned Bill are largely conjectural on both sides. The letter appeals for a further opportunity of considering the Bill, and emphasises the continually growiDg desire' for balanced settlement on the lines of tbe ptonosed compromise. ■ - "The Times" supports the proposal of the Primate, but recognises, that the Government will be in a d ifficulfcy until there is some educatiqnai "agency- representing church opinion as a whole.
