Chimneys fell at Hawfeswobd, and at Mendip articles in tha homestead were broken. Hanmer also reports two snooks. Timaru, Dee. 8., A faint shook of earthquake was felt here at 11.55 this morning.
Received Dec; 9, 0.5 a.m. Brisbane; Dec. 8. A sßV3re 3hdck of eartn4uake was felt at Crow's Nest, lasting thiree seconds. No damage was done, but itcreated consternation among tte residents.
