A South .Canterbury aerated water manufacturer who appeared at the Arbitration Court to-day predicted a gloomy. future for the "soft drink"industry. It was a fact, he; said, that eighty dozen out of every, hundred "dozen bottles of aerated water sold were consumed .in licensed premises. If no license were carriedthe aerated water industry would be doomed, as an appetite for soft drink could not be cultivated sufficiently to enable them 'to replace beer or whisky. .The speaker put his case very forcibly before the.
