AMERICAN MARATHON RACE.
DORANDO'S WIN. {Pbess Association— Copyeighx.] New York. Nov. 26. Tbe Marathon race was ran on covered tracks at Madison Square Gardens, a distance of 26~ miles 385 yards. JDorando's time was 164.minutes 20 l-sth seconds. There was a neck-and-neck race, till the 26th mile, when Dorando went ahead, and finished strong. Hayes was exhausted. There were ten thousand spectators. While training Dorando took frequent meals, including three quarts of Ohianti wine daily.
