The -latter on the following night mads a cnargo agaist Mr Kemigton.allpgipg he had taken a reward for bis efforts in obtaining the removal of a restriction on a native title. 'Mr Remington, subsquently speaking -at. \ Taihape, said "if hn comuiittee was willing, he (Mr ßemington) was quita willing if Mr Hutchison would put down £75 for the ejection expanses, to give him a chance of seeing who stood best with tho elector^ of Rantjitikei eleotorate." To-day, Mr Hutohison wrote to Mr Kemington accepting the challenge, and nxpress ing' his willingness to put down the £75 for the election exnenseV en bis resigning the Rangitikei saat, also to contest toe election with Mr Kemington. 1
