COMMONWEALTH AND THE UNION COMPANY.
Received Nov. 24, 0.10 a.m. n Melbourne, Nov. 23. Mr Scott, Secretary of the Central Postal Department, does not understand the statement tbat an unsatisfactory relationship exists betweeo the Commonwealth and the Union Company. He says a number of tentative proposals . were made, and the Government communicated with the Canadian Government concerning them, but it has not ;e---csived any reply.
