JJAND BALLOT AT MUECHISON (Special to "The Colonist.") • : Murcbison, Oct. 31. The ballot for sections in the Manglps Black water block was cor■dueted to-doy by the Commissioner of Crown Ln'nds (Mr F. W. Flanagan), and was very successful, 5575 acres out of a total of 7300 acres be ing disposed of. Tbe following are the names of the successful applicants:—M. James, 510 acres; G. B. Ifrower 730 acres; W. b\ Frower, 760 acres; A. Beswick, 1060 acres; J. Leathbridge, 765 acres; W. A. Sutton, 675 acres ; G. H. Gibbs, 1055 acres. Nearly all tbe successful ap- • plicants are local people, although many applications were rceiveil from other land districts. There wete 33 applications.
