GLUB. ; ANNUAL SPOKTS. - The Annual sports meeting of the Tadinor Athletic and ■ Axemen's Club took place in Mr F. Hodgkinsan'a paddock. Tadinor, on Nov. 9. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance of spectators. , Considerable interest was taken in ] the chpoping and sawing events. Tha New Zealand championship undarhand chop, 18in. blocks. was won by T. Weston of Lower Uutt, in limn 21secs, and tbe Tadmor Grand Handicap Chop of £20 by P. Eyles, who also won the District Championship Chop. The Richmond Brass Band was in attendance, and played selections throughout the day. Largo numbers of excursionists booked to various stations up tho line, the majority proceeding to tlie Tadmor sports. The train which returned to town last evening consisted of twenty-one vehicles, and was drawn by two engines. It oonvoyed 700 passengers.
