Thath- , oh's.* The Garrison- officers met aY the i Drill Shed last evening when the concluding lecture of tho present ses- i sion was givon by Surgeon-Lieut.- > Colonel H. --Wright, who, during the Boer war held an important position under General Prei-yman, Governor of the ■ Orange River Colony. : Colonel Wright selected for his lecture "Camp sanitation and management .as affecting the health of troops , in the field, discipline, -hygiene, and the practical side of field ambulance work" in varying stages.' The lecture was very interesting and instructive, and was varied 'by iincidents that came under the lecturer's obser-va-lnoii during the South campaign. At the. conclusion a very hearty vote of tlianks was accorded Colonel Wright, who promised during the next session to go further into the same subject, dealing in addition with the Soudan. -Leutenant Colonel Joyce occupied the chair and there was a representative attendance of officers. It was resolved to commence the session in March next. Interest in tne A. and P. Associa - t'.oo's Show, to be held on Tuesday aod Wednesday next, has flagged somewhat on account of the elections, wDich fortunately. \y ill be .over before the pnople's day.
