POWER BOAT RACE.

Mr J. C. Hewson, Secretary of the Ncu- Zealand Royal Yacht Spuadron, lias written us enclosing a copy of " Photograph of the handsrtrr.o "Rudder Cup "presented to the R.N.Z. Yacht Squadron by Mr Thos. Fleming Day, of New York, which is to i»> competed for by power launches ov<>r 'a distance of not less than one hundred miles. The cup, is ' valued at fifty guineas. The raco will be open to all launches in theDominion belonging to a recognised yacht chili, an;] Mr Hewson expresses the hope thai: entries, which close on November Ist, will be received from Nelson. Persons interested may peruse the rules and regulations, a copy of which has been sent to this office.
