At the Supreme Court Thomas | Jackson was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for robbery from the person. ; ' An elderly man named Alexander Johnson was convicted of indecently assaulting a child of five, sentence being deferred. At the sittings of the Supreme Court to-day a Chinaman named Louia Yug, otherwise known as Shue Uock, wps arraigned on a charge ofj having on or about Augnst Bth last at Mt. RoskiU murdered a fellow countryman, named Fong Mong Chee. The jury brought in a verdict of manslaughter, and tho prisoner was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
