Received Nov. 18. 10.30 p.m. Pekin, Nov. 18. The run upon the native banks aJ; Pekin stopped after fourteen, had closed, Tne Chinese Council of Foreign Affairs, in order to remove suspicions of foul play, freely explained the circumstances of the Emrjeror s and the Einpross Dowagers' deaths to tbe representatives of the Powers. The explanation is regarded as satisfactory.
