MOROCCO'S NEW . SULTAN. A very interesting talk with the new Sultan of Morocco is chronicled in the "Pall Mall Magazine" by Mr Charles Beadle : — . ."■; "At length we received the summons to the audience. Mounting a narrow flight of steps, after passing through an inner courtyard, we, leaving our slippers at the top, entered a long narrow tiled room, with high windows on' the left overlooking the Wad Fas Valley. At the far end of the room, seated cross-legged, on a gilt Louis XV. sofa was the Sultan, Mulai-el-Hafid. In appearance the Sultan was undoubtedly a handsome man, with large black humorous eyes alight vivacity, a black wellgroomed beard; and ■ olive skin, ; high forehead, and rather prominent cheek bones. . .....V - - '.- "Particularly.
