During the trial of Abe Ruef, Mr Francis fieney, District Attorney, who prosecuted Schmitz and others at San Francisco for graft, was murderously assaulted in Court. It is balieved he is dying. His assailant, a saloon keeper, named Morris Haas, was arrested. He declared tbat he nau been ruined by Heney, and therefore he snot him.
