The New Alpine miue manager re-i ports for tne week pending 10th November as follows :,— The cross-cut has bfcen . extended a distance of 18 ; feat through good ground, making a tutal distance from the shaft (m-: eluding chamber) ofc: 30 feet. The { drive can now be insde straight for ■ the reef, as all the torn required ; about 45 degrees.was put io the firstfew feet. Sj far no bailing has been, necessary, and the formation is good : and dry.- OtDer work about the mine has progressed satisfactorily.
