NEWS OF THE DAY.

Tl'rre was a fair attendaoce at the Loyal Nelson Good Templar Lodge last nignt, Bro W. McLennan, Chief Templar,- in the chair. -..- -, It ; was reported that the picnic to Cable Bay ori Monday had . proved: very enjoyable. It was resolved that the members meqt at the foot of the Cathedral . stops at seven o'clock on Friday evening, .to take ; part in a monster demonstration,, regalia to-be worn. >. It was resolved on > Wednesday night next to hold a thanksgiving night' and reunion, members to invite friends, who'will be admitted at eight o'clock. The Lodge will meet ab 7;30 sharp on that evening. :
