NELSON LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday, when there were present:— Mr F. W. Flanagan (Commissioner), and Mossrs Wratt, Sinclair, and Walker. The minutes were confirmed. Application to purchase rural land for cash under section 114 of the Land Act, 1892, and section 70 of the Land Laws Amedment Act, 1907: Joseph Thorn, section 28, block vi, Wai-iti Survey District, 129 acres, approved price £1 per acre. Letter received from Mr J. Kirk, applying to purchase a portion of a public street, town of Collingwood. Declined, the area applied for being a public Street known as Wellington Terrace, town of Collingwood. Applications for renewable leases: Frederick Lowe, blocks ix and x, Oparara. Declined, the Commissioner having written to Mr L)we, pointing out the defect in his application, and requesting him to make a new application. Land to be opened for selection on 20tb instant. Ditto: J. R. Milne, sections 1, .1, and 6, block iii, *Waitahu, 182alr.'$Sp. Resolved, that the District Survoyor be instructed to visit the land and value amount of improvements made en section 1 by the late Messrs James nnd Alexander Ross, and that the said section be weighted with the value of improvements effected thereon. Ditto: Michael Finnessey O'Brien, block ix, Otumahana, 992 acres; Patrick Finnessey O'Brien, blocks lx and x, Otumahana^ 978 acres; Timothy Edward O'Brien, block ix, Otumahana, 1035 acres; Bruce Anderson, block ix, Otumahana, 992 acres. The above applications are held over, the land not being open until the 21th June, 1908, to which date all applications are on a par. Ditto: James Quinn, section 4, block xi, Mokihinui, 6a lr l*">p;Elizabeth Quinn, section 5, block xi, Mokihinui, 6 acres and 20 perches. Postponed for report by District Surveyor. Resolved that the above application be held over, the land' not being open until the 24th June, 1908, up'to which date all applications are on a par. Ditto : Sydney Benjamin Hodges, block xii, Mount Arthur, 200 acres; John Cameron, block iv, Maruia, 652 acres, Resolved that the above application be heid over, the land not being open until the 24th June, 1908, up to which date applications are on a par Ditto: JJJanies S.
