LABOR TROUBLES IN AUSTRALIA.

GENERAL TIMBER STRIKE. Received Feb. 13, 1 a.m.

Sydney, February 12. There is a general strike of timber yard hands, and to-day 2000 are idle. About thirteen timber vessels are unable to discharge. The wheelers at the Dudley colliery have again ceased work, and the miners have refused to do the wheeling themselves. It is likely that the contempt to which the Court has been subjected by a section of the employees will cause the President to reconsider his position.
