ANOTHER SUFFRAGETTE RIOT.
FIFTY ARRESTS. Received February 12. 11.12 p.m. London, February 12. HJSuffragettes [meeting at Gaxton Hall from all parts of England, Mrs Patrick Lawience presiding, and Misses Pankhurst and Kenny supporting, resolved to demand an immediate measure of franchise, and to support delegates to see Sir Henry 'Campbell Bannerman. While a previously arranged raid on the " House of Commons was developing, a pantechnicon van stood at the entrance to St. Stephens, its back doors swung Topen, and thirty suffragettes emerged and endeavored to'storm'tbe entrance. The police 'arrested twenty, and the rest were repulsed. A second van load met the same fate. The Caxton Hall contingents then arrived in quick | succession, with the intention of compelling 150 I arrests, but lack of spirit on the part of the'militant:?, and the determination of the police to effect only necessary arrests, totalling 50. defeated tbe scheme.
