Lieutenant-Colonel Joyce leaves to-day for Christshurch on a three weeks' holiday. Miss Ada Eastwood, M.A. ,has been appointed an assistant mistress at the Nelson Girls' College. Miss Eastwood was for seven years at Wanganui Girls' College and for two years at the Teachers' Training College* Wellington Mr David Price, formerly of Wakefield and Mofcupiko, now secretary to Mr E. Short, of Parorangi, Feildin», the well-kiiUwn Koniney sheep breeder, is at preseut o;i a visit to this district. Mr Gilbert Anderson, who has. been a director of the Christcburch Meat Company, almost from its start, has resigned his connection with that company in crdor. it is understood, to enter into business on his own account in England.
