EXTRAORDINARY, STATEMENT BY A MEDICAL MAN.

Auckland, August 21. §Dr Bakewell says he has been really cured of cancer by Stanton, who the other day was sentenced to four months imprisonment at Christchurch for. the manslaughter of a man who died of diphtheria while under Stantons treatment. Dr Bakewell says he was cured through Stanton 's hypnotic suggestion, the white powder given him, he believed, had nothing to do with his cure. Three medical men had diagnosed his case as a cancer tumor in the throat. He informed the Wellington branch of the British Medical Association that he had been cured by Stanton.
