~ Auckland, August 21. jU a meeting of the shareholders in the Talisman Consolidated Goldmining Company, it was stated that h movement had been started to obtain direct representation of the Colonial shareholders on the Board of Directors. Mr Weston eaid Mr White and himself were acting in the matter for the shareholders in Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, Nelson, New Plymouth. The New Zealand shareholders owned about ,£600,000 worth of the shares, and they were entitled to their own representatives on the Board of Directors, and not the nominees of the London directors. A Committee was set up, and the New Zealand shareholders' demand will be cabled to London.
