CONSUMPTIVES ' ANNEXE COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the members of the above-named Committee was held on July 25th iv the City Council Chamber, Mr Harrison presiding.

Mr W. W. Snodgrasa, the Hon. Secretary, said the balance in hand was £53 16s 7d. and the Hospital Board had been approached, and it had forvvardod a letter stating that the money when handed over would be devoted towards erecting a permanent woodeu shelter.

™ Resolved, on the motion of Dr. Barr, seconded by Mr W. T. Bond, that the £53 16s 7d be banded over to the Hospital Board.

In reply to a question, it was stated tbat if the permanent shelter did not cost tbe whole of the money handed over, any balance could be devoted towards improving tbe paths around the Annexe.

Mr W. W. Snodgrass stated altogether tbo Committee raised .£743 16s sd, which, with the Government subsidy added, amounted to £1635.

Resolved, on the motion of Dr. Barr, seconded by Dr. Mackay, that the Committee be dissolved, its duties having been completed.

Resolved, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Dr Mackay, and supported by Dr. Barr, that Mr W. W. Snodgrass, the Hon. Secretary, be heaitily congratulated on the success of his earnest labors, and devotion to the cause of the xinnexo." The proceedings then closed. 3
