NELSON DISTRICT FRUITGROWERS' ASSOCIATION FORMED. MEETING OF STOKE BRANCH.

A meeting of the Stoke Branch of the proposed Nelson Bistr>cfc Fruitgrowers' Association was held on July 29fcb when 20 members were present

Mr Lightband was elected President, and Mr E. B. Izard Secretary. The Secretary was instructed to write to representative fruitgrowers in the city, inviting them to form a branch, of the District Association.

The Secretary was instructed to write to the Members for the District re the remission of duty on low grade oils for spraying purposes.

The meeting tnen adjourned until Friday next, when rules and regulations for the Association, will be drawn up.
