COLLISION AT SEA.

August. 20L, ; News by the, mail shows that the Norweigan barque Viking* was auok in a collision with the American ship Atlas, which arrived at Rio Janeiro in a half-sinking condition. How Captain Peterson and his wife were lost is yet unexplained. It is beileved that the captain waited too long to save the ship's papers in the oabih, and went down with the vessel. The crew were saved.
