Both papers warmly praise the New Zealand professionals for their forward play in Saturday's match, and consider that with a little more practice -they will prove averystrong combination. The Telegraph adds:—" After a few games with the additional Auoklanders the team will be one of the hottest combinations any club could tackle. Noticeable features of Saturday's play were the fairness of tactics, and the clean manner in which they played. Swannell says a little practioe together will enable the New Zealanders to prove what they claim to be— a team thoroughly representative of New Zealand football. Received August 20, 0.36 a.m. Sydney, August 19. The New Zealand team play on Wednesday. Their team will be:— Back, Turtill; three-quarters. Macgregor, Todd, Rowe; five-eighths, Wrigley and Wynyard ; halves, Gleeson and Tyler ; forwards, Maokrell, Oallam, Cross, Wright,, Trevarthen, Johnson and Lile. Auckland, August 19. G. Smith, W. Wynyard, T. C. Dunning, all of Auckland, left for Sydney this evening to join the New Zealand professional team. The Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union has decided to disqualify for life all Auckland players who took part in the match against' the New South Wales professionals on Saturday last, so soon as the names are definitely ascertained.
