Wellington, July £6. At a public meeting last night a branch of the National League of New Zealand was formed in "Wellington. The Premier speaking in support of the proposal, said ho believed that the National League movement would have the effect of impressing upon the people the fact that the practice of arms was wise, not in the spirit of Jingoism, but in order that when necessity arose they would gain in time of peace that experience which would enable them to fight for their country and King. Personally he would do all he could publically and privately to mould public opinion in this direction on sound and public lines.
