Auckland, July 22; When the fishing boat Kestrel (from Mercury Bay) was off the North Head at 3.30 a.m. on Sunday, Marrison, one of the crew, heard cries for help, and saw someone hanging on to some floating object. The person called out seven or eight times, but evidently was nearly exhausted. The Kestrel searohed about for over an hour, but no signs of the man was seen.
