Mr Alfred Peart, formerly of Fox- ! hill, has been appointed a Justice of the Peace. _ When the English mail left on June the 7tb,Hon. F. and Mrs Trask were about to visit Wales and Mr Trask's birthplace in Somerset, which Mr Trask _had not seen for forty-seven years; Mr N* W. Werry, formerly of Wel* lington, has died in Kashmir, India; Miss Blair, formerly of Victoria College, in Wellington, has passed the examination of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science at the London University.
