The attendance was large, including bis Excellency the Governor, Sir Joseph Ward, Hons. Carroll, Millar, and Findlay, and members of Parliament. The sum of £15,308 was passed through the totalisator, being £3856 more than the corresponding dayjof last year. The winning double on the Parliamentary Handicap and Winter Hurdles paid £113 lis.
