THE BRITISH ARMY AND AUSTRALIAN MEAT.
London, July 19. In the House of Commons, in reply ing to Mr flenniker Heaton's question, Mr Haldane, Secretary for War, said it was impossible to alter the date for tenders for preserved meats for the Army in the present case, but in future every endeavor would be made to meet the convenience of the Australian market if possible.
