AIBION V. OOT'LEGE. College kicked Toff, "and by good following up made touch at the 25 yards line. After several ineffective attempts at passing, the Albion forwards broke through the College defence, and dribbled the ball to within i few yards of their opponents' goal line. Scrum work ensued, and the Albions again breaking away, scored near the posts, and kicked an easy goal. Albions 5, College 0. On resuming play the College scon had their opponents in difficulties, and for the remainder of the game
■ad things all their own way. From a scrum near the line, Bryan passed to Papps, who transferred to Skeet. thus enabling the latter to score, an easy try. The kick at goal was ineffectual. Albion 5, College 3. Towards the end of the first spell, Bisley, receiving the ball from Harley, made a splendid run, and scored near the corner flag. Albion 5, College 6. In the second spell the College backs -indulged in some really Cgoud passing •rushes. Tries were scored by Bryan, Papys, Harley, and Skeet, but although within easy range no goals resulted. Towards the end of the game tho Albions rallied, but were unable to break through the College defence. On time being called, the score stood College 18, Albions 5. The game was noticeable for the amount of off-side'play by the Albion wing forwards, " and referees would undoubtedly raise the standard of football in Nelson by dealing severely with, habitual offenders in this direction.
