i Gore, June 22. : The Hon. E. MoNab addressed his . constituents in the Gore Town Hall [ to-night. The building was crowd- , ed, and Mr McNab received a very [ cordial reception. In hia speech, he dealt at length with the Land Bill, elaborating the arguments he used ( in his speeches in other places, but > dealing more particularly with the . criticism of the Opposition in regard to the optional tenure, and the proposed endowments, which he said , were bound to increase greatly in [ value as time went on. At tbe coni elusion of the address a motion was . passed unanimously thanking the Minister for his able and interesting , address and expressing confidence in the Government and strong approval , of the earnest efforts that were being made by the Government to promote land settlement throughout , tbe Colony. The motion was moved by Mr Duncan Gilchrist, Chairman of the Southland Education Board,
and a prominent member of the Farmers' Union, and seconded by Mr John Gray, of Mataura,.. The .Minister leaves for the N orth by_the [ morning's express.
