London, Jane 19. ■ The Ascot Gold Cup, valued at 500 guineas, was being£exhibited behind the grand stand in charge of the maker and a conBtable, when it was stolen while the attention of the attendants was momentarily diverted, presumably by the thieves' accomplice. The cup was to be run for to-morrow. The steamer Medic, wkicfc was damaged recently, has a kola Mv« feet square below tho watecline. A number of plates have been; loosened and displaced.
