WRECK OV S.S. KIA ORA

Auckland, June 19. Inspector Cullen has received a telegram from Constable McCarthy, at Kawhia, who estimated that eight persons were drowned in the wreck of tbe Eia Or a. So far no bodies have been recovered It has been decided to hold an enquiry into the wreck of tbe Kia Ora in Auckland. It was thought at first it would be held in New Plymouth, but most of tbe witnesses are here, and it has been decided to hold it here, but the date is not yet fixed.
