HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
~S Wellington, Juno 10. The Deparment of Industries aud Commerce has received a cable from tbe High Commissioner, dated June Btb, as follows: — The upward movement in the mutton market seems arrested. Onlysmall stocks of Canterbury are on hacci, aad there is no change io price to report. The lamb market is 9teady, and good demand continues. Prices are firm and unchanged. The beef market remains„firm, with supplies Hindquarters 4d; forequarters, 3J4d. The butter market is stead}-, with sood demand for choicest biands. Choicest New Zealand 99s per cwt. The cheese market is quiet and prices are slightly weaker: white manufacture 665: colored 645. The hemp market is quiet and only .mall business is doing. Only a small quantity of good fair grade is on hand, but there is no change in price to report since last week. The cocksfoot seed marker is quiet, with nominal business doing.
