SHEDWOOD LODGE, U.A.O.D.

The summons meeting of tbe Shedwood Lodge was held in the Druids' Hall, Tapawera, on Saturday night, when there was a good attendance.

The balance-sheet was read, and showed the Lodge to be in a very prosperous condition, both as regards numbers aud finance. This Lodge has lately built a first class half 75ft by 35ft, "with a good stage, and it can accommodate theatrical companies and concerts, lt has a first-class floor for dancing, , and tbe Hall Committee are putting a good piano into it within a week or two, so that those wishing to hire the hall will have every convenience to band. After initiating two new members and a quantity of other business being disposed of, the electou of officers for the current six months was gone on with, when the following were eleoted:— A. D., Bro Alf Kinzett; V.A.D., Bro George Bromell; Secretary, Bro S. Wadsworth ; Treasurer, Bro A. P. Kinzett ;LG., Bro. A. Fenemore; 0.G., Bro. Raymond Biggs; A.8., Bros. Hudson and Ron Biggs; V.A.8., Bros. M. HanroD and W. Quinney; Minute Secretary, Bro. R. Macmahon. Bro. Levy, the D.P., from Nelson, visited the Lodge for the purpose of installing the officers, and was assisted by Bro. S. Wadsworh, P.D. P., when the ceremony was read very impressively. The Lodge intends holding monthly dances, the first to be on Friday week, June 21st. After a very beneficial and enjoyable meeting the Lodge was closed.
