DEATH OF A NOTED GERMAN
Received June 1, 5. T0 p.m. London, June 1. 7 The death is announced of Karl Blind at bis residence at flampstead. Deceased was a notable 7 leader in the German revolution of 1847-1849. (Dnring tne revolution named Blind was five times imprisoned. He fought at the battle of Staufen, was captured and court martialled, and was saved from death owing to a flaw in the Grand Ducal proclamation. He co-operated from England with Mazzioi, Garibaldi, LedruRollin, Louis Blanc, and other European leaders. He was also' noted as a writer on politics, history, mythology, and Germanic and Indian literature).
