HOME WHEAT MARKET.

" Received May 17, 10.20 p.m. London, May 17. _ The wheat market is very strong in sympathy with the American, and owing to the continued ad crop reports being received from the principal European countries. The present high price is checking business being done. Cargoes of Australian wheat afloat are held for 33s to Bis, for shipraeut 34s 6d to 35?. ; Flour is very firm. Australian at Glasgow is held for 26a. Received May 17, 11.27 p.m. New York, May 17. Another sensational advance in wheat nas taken place at Chicago, partly due to the report* of crop losses in Russia. July wheat jumped from 92J4 to 99^2, and September wheat reached 100. Tbe volume of business done was immense, a few leading firms aloiif biking seven millions bushels. The m rk; t olospd uosettled prices off the top. The wheat market jumped four cents at New York, where tr^diDg was active. The market thero closed unsettled, a part of the advance having been lost.
