B THE TARANAKI ELECTION.
New Plymouth, May 3. There is keen interest in the election for the Taranaki seat. The three candidates who are optional tenure advocates, have addressed crowded meetings. It is rumoured that Messrs Maasey, Ilerries, and Bedford will address the electors on the eve of the election, and if that proves correct, it is certain that a Minister will enter the field and take part in the contest.
