Dovedale Horticultural and Industrial Association. — The third autnmn show of the Dovedale Horticultural mid Industrial Association will take place on Friday next at Dovedale. Entries will be received by the Secretary, Miss Turner, up till nine p.m, on Wednesday, Bth. inst. Telephone Exchange. — The following new subscribers have been added to the Telephone Exchange: — Mrs Harris, private residence, Mr Geo. Griffin, private residence, E. A. Edwards, Bridge street, and Whangamoa Bureau. Marlborough Racing Club. —We have to acknowledge receipt of complimentary tickets for the Marlborough. Racing Club's autumn meeting to be held ou Bth and 9th May, at Blenheim. Gaa Lighting Control.— An exhibition of Nightingall's gas control lighting, particulars of which were given in these columns on Wednesday, will be given at Messrs Bisley Bros, and Co. 's warehouse this evening at 7.30. The public ( ratepayers and consumers of gas particularly) are invited to call and inspect the process of lighting and extinguishing lamps from a central switchboard, Nelson Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society. — The adjourned general meeting of members of this society will take place at Mercer's rooms this evening,
